How many secrets and legends envelop this island - the island of Santorini! According to legend, it appeared thanks to the now extinct volcano, arose out of nowhere, which is why it is often called the Lost Atlantis. Here you can plunge into the atmosphere of calmness and measuredness, enjoy the beauties of sandy beaches and landscapes, quiet Greek streets with a series of white houses and clear sea. The two main cities of the island, Fira and Oia, rise on rocky peaks at the highest points of the island. Visitors arrive at a port below the level of these cities and then walk or ride on donkeys up the winding paths that lead to the cities. Fira and Oia are provided with a sufficient number of hotels, good restaurants, bars, nightlife and attractions that give tourists the opportunity to have a great rest and at the same time get acquainted with the history of the island. In the east of Santorini, the archaeological ruins of ancient Thera dating back to the 9th century have been preserved. BC. The list of Santorini beaches focuses on two corners: Kamari, which is located just below Ancient Thira. Here you will find a mixture of black volcanic sand and small dark pebbles. Since there are a lot of tourists in this area, a strip of small bars, taverns and hotels stretches along Kamari. Perissa is located on the opposite side of Mesa Vouno. Here the atmosphere is conducive to a quiet and relaxing holiday with family or loved ones. The entrance to the water is very convenient, and the rocks protect the 8-kilometer coastline from the wind.
