Just a few minutes from the modern beach resorts of Maleme and Platanias, step back in time as you turn into the meandering lane that leads to the picturesque hamlet of Metochi, with a history dating back to the 1700’s, when Crete was still under Turkish rule. The tiny hamlet is laced with evocative stone walls surrounding centuries old buildings built in weathered limestone, with vine covered pergolas and lush gardens overflowing with jasmine and roses. It takes little imagination to evoke an atmosphere of yesteryear, whilst enjoying all the comforts of a relaxing luxury holiday.

Lana villa is the perfect place where a large family or group of friends can enjoy a wonderful holiday. Open the wooden picket gate and step into the delightful stone paved courtyard. The picturesque garden is just made for chilling out and soaking up the sun. The ancient courtyard flagstones, the lush foliage and sweet smelling flowers, combine to create a wonderful private area to swim, sunbathe, enjoy a cool drink or relish the mouth watering aroma of food being cooked on the outside barbecue.

Step inside the house and you’ve stepped back in time. See the graceful stone arch leading the eye from the breakfast kitchen into the lounge with its original Cretan ‘banquettes’ set along the stone wall, and the beamed wooden ceiling – yet there are also modern features to provide the level of luxury you expect to find on a holiday such as a satellite 40” LCD flat screen TV and a luxurious spa bath.

Upstairs there is a huge furnished roof terrace with amazing sea and mountain views.

Our villa has been renovated in 2010-2011 to meet our valued customer’s expectations. The house is totally independent, surrounded with a stone wall providing absolute privacy. Fully equipped, with all the amenities guaranteeing a relax staying and a perfect base for discovering Crete’s lovely beaches.
