Gennadi is a small resort town on the southeast coast of the Greek island of Rhodes. The settlement is located in a picturesque valley at some distance from the sea (400-500 m). In recent years, Gennadi has turned from a small village into a very popular resort, while managing to maintain a cozy atmosphere and the unique flavor of a traditional Greek settlement. Today in Gennadi there is an excellent choice of hotels and comfortable apartments, as well as all the necessary tourist services (shops, pharmacy, currency exchange, vehicle rental, etc.). A walk along the narrow cobbled streets of the old city will bring a lot of pleasure to the guests of Gennadi. Here you will find many cozy cafes and restaurants where you can have a great rest and enjoy excellent local cuisine. Among the main attractions of Gennadi, it is worth noting the old olive press, the church of St. John the Evangelist (19th century) and the building of the police station, built in the original Italian style. No less interesting is the church of St. Anastasia the Roman (12th century), built on the ruins of an older temple. The main pride of Gennadi, undoubtedly, is its magnificent sandy beach (in places with small pebbles), which is rightfully considered one of the best beaches in Rhodes. Partially the beach is equipped with sun loungers and sun umbrellas.
