Firos

Description

Firos is a complex of traditionally built rental houses, located in the stately village Malathiros in western Crete, in the area of Kisamos, 20 minutes from the town of Kasteli and 45 minutes from the city of Chania. The houses have been built amphitheatrically so that the endless, breathtaking view of the Gulf of Kisamos to the island of Kithira can be enjoyed from all the houses.

The cluster of houses is situated in a particularly advantageous location as it offers easy and quick access to the renowned beaches of Paleochora and Falasarna, which are a 30 minute drive away, and Elafonisi, which is an hour’s drive away.

The homes were built with a high sense of respect to tradition and nature. They harmoniously combine stone and wood, which offer the utmost feeling of relaxation. The earthly colours and tasteful decor give the homes an air of calmness and carefreeness. The homes are available all year round for rent.

The complex is comprised of 6 independent houses, four measuring 67 m2 and two measuring 80 m2. Each house includes a fireplace, spacious bedrooms, a kitchen and a large sitting room. The couch in the sitting room turns into a bed to accommodate families with children.

The interior areas are very warm and hospitable since the decor is based on the characteristics of the local architectural culture. The houses are fully equipped with all the necessary appliances such as a coffee maker, toaster, an oven and a clothes washing machine so that our guests are completely at home. Moreover, each house has a yard and a balcony with an endless view of the mountain and sea. All have a barbeque while three of them have a private outdoor pool and two have a wooden oven. The outdoor area has been designed with care and the gardens are full of domestic plants and flowers. There are scattered flower beds with aromatic plants and the guests are free to use the specially arranged gardens and also taste the organically grown fresh products the gardens have to offer.

The houses are ideal for both long-term and short-term rental and include the following comforts:
