Villa "Karet" is located in the southwestern part of Corfu, 3 km from the picturesque village of Matthew and only 5 km from the tourist resorts of Moraitike and Mesongi. Beaches: The sandy beach of Halikuna is considered one of the most unusual beaches on the island of Corfu. The length of the coastline is 2.5 km. The amazingness of the beach lies in its unusual shape. This is a narrow strip of sand separating Lake Korission from the sea. A feature of Halikuna beach are soft sandy hills. You can also visit other sandy beaches located near the villa "Mela". These are Prasudi, Skidi, Paramonas, Kanuli, Skala. It is worth noting that Prasoudi beach is marked with a blue flag. It is equipped with all the necessary beach equipment for a comfortable stay. Meals: A short walk from the villa, you can enjoy Corfu cuisine, fresh fish in island restaurants and taverns. Archaeological remains of ancient cultures that have been found in it are on display at the Archaeological Museum of Corfu. - Lake Korission: The famous lake Korission (view from the villa) is a refuge for more than 100 species of birds.
