Agrilia villa (153 m2) is a recently renovated traditional stone house with 2 floors, which is located in the village of Sgourokefali.
The house restoration was made with care by local artisans, so as to keep the ancient style of the building. It retains all the elements of traditional architecture, combining with the comforts of a modern guesthouse. The ground floor consists of a large living room and dining room with an arch, spacious bedroom with double bed (15 m2) overlooking the eastern courtyard, fully equipped kitchen with a fireplace and a large bathroom with Jacuzzi.
The first floor consists of a bedroom (15 m2) with two single beds, one bedroom (23 m2) with double bed and a sofa, bathroom with hydro massage shower and Jacuzzi. Both bedrooms have a sharing balcony.
The eastern courtyard of the villa has a garden, swimming pool (4 m x 6 m x 1.40 m). The pool water is fresh, disinfected with a modern eco-system with ozone. The place has a barbecue area and a pergola where you can relax.
The western part of the house has a parking lot. There are also 5 bikes for rent.

Sgourokefali, Heraklion, Crete
Sgourokefali is a wonderful village, just 18 km away from the city, the port and the airport of Heraklion and only 10km from Amnissos beach. There two mini markets, three coffee shops, bakery and butcher's shop in the village. In no more than 1 km away, in Episkopi village, you can also find supermarkets, oil station, coffee shops, traditional cafes, chemist's and a medical center.
All the famous archaeological sights of Heraklion prefecture are very easily accessible from Sgourokefali: you can visit Helithia's cave, Knossos, Amnissos, Archanes, Vathipetro. You can also visit the Archaeological Museum of Heraklion, the Archaeological Museum of Archanes, Nikos Kazantzakis' Museum in Myrtia or some well known monasteries such as Agarathos Monastery, Virgin Mary (Panagia) Monastery, St John's Monastery, etc. The village is built on a hill at an altitude of 330 m above sea level and provides a wonderful view.
Just 1,300 m from the village the visitor has the chance to explore the Karteros canyon - a place of unique natural beauty named after Karteros River, which flows along the canyon (22 km in length). The area was included in the list of protected areas of Natura 2000. The canyon is perfect for long walks in the amazing nature. It is safe and easily accessible. While walking through the canyon the visitor will have the opportunity to admire the places of great historical and archaeological importance: ancient Eltina, the minoan cemetery of Astraki and the ancient settlement of Myrtia.
